My name is Severine Degnan, mom of Anais Adia Degnan born on June 20th, 2006. Anais is my inspiration for becoming a doula and child birth educator.
I labored at the ABC room at Women and Infant's hospital in RI and was blessed with a powerful and spiritual labor.
As I reflected on my birthing experience, I realized Anais gave me a gift, that of helping other women during birth. I trained with ALACE (Association of Labor Assistant and Childbirth Educator - www.ALACE.ORG), worked with teen moms, moms and dads, volunteered at Women and Infants. I am looking forward to working with you.
